Richmond. June 5. The legendary warriors of this planet is often known and referred by their famous roar -
Aayo Gorkhali!. Today, when the yetis of Himalayan Soccer Club of BC (HimSoc) played their first competitive soccer tournament to win the second one day soccer tournament
Sai Baba Soccer Cup at South Arm Community Center soccer field in Richmond, the energy and the
Josh to take the cup home was like -
Aayo Yetis! 
Four amateur teams from Lower Mainland participated to compete for the coveted trophy, Richmond's South Arm-I & South Arm-II, Sai BC and HimSoc. Superlatively in tune to win or atleast perform the best, HimSoc yetis meant business from the first minute to the last. Yetis reached the finals beating South Arm-I with a fair score of 5-1.
"You guys play like professionals," said one lady who was watching yetis play their game and -
I was like... Sure enough, yetis appeared quite professional today in their freshly painted soccer numbers on their blue jerseys. In a nail gripping final game against South Arm-II, HimSoc took the lead with 2-1 until half-time. At one point during the second half the fate of Yetis hung at 50-50 when there was a surprise equalizer (2-2) by South Arm-II.

Yetis were loosing their breath from the long day, stamina was falling apart but the golden goal by yeti Bali wrote a happy story for HimSoc, upseting the reigning champs with 3-2 score. The last whistle called the surge of yaaaaa-hee-haaaaaaa...and all the ecstatic sounds possibly human can make by players and the supporters alike. Perhaps, the taste of hard earned victory simply turned yeti`s excitement into ecstasy!

Amidst the sounds hee-haa, the Sai Baba Soccer Cup 2010 was presented to HimSoc captains Anuj and Suman by the organizer, Mr. Venkat Rao himself, who is best known to all as
My Friend! Soon team HimSoc posed for a group photograph and was followed by individual shoot with the coveted trophy. Yetis decided to end the long day with a short stay at The Pioneer Pub to do some quick cheers to celebrate
